Platform
AI Producer
The AI Producer generates and manages discussion prompts (called hooks) for live broadcasts and recordings. Hosts can use AI to create topic-specific questions, add custom hooks manually, and display them on screen during a show.
How It Works
The AI Producer uses AI language models to generate engaging, debate-style questions based on a topic description you provide. Generated hooks are designed to drive audience engagement and keep the conversation flowing.
Generating Hooks with AI
- Open the Hooks tab in the Creator Studio left panel.
- Click AI Generate.
- In the settings modal, enter:
- Topic description — What the show is about (e.g., "A debate about cryptocurrency regulation").
- Tone — The style of questions (e.g., "provocative and thought-provoking").
- Number of hooks — How many to generate (1-20).
- Click Generate. The system creates questions using AI, optionally enriched with real-time web search results for current events and statistics.
- Generated hooks are added to your hooks list.
Adding Hooks Manually
You can also type your own hooks directly in the Hooks panel. Enter your text and press Enter or click Add Hook.
Managing Hooks
The Hooks panel displays all hooks in a draggable list. You can:
- Select Click a hook to make it the active hook. If "Show on Screen" is enabled, it displays on the broadcast.
- Reorder Drag and drop hooks to change their order.
- Delete Hover over a hook and click the delete icon to remove it.
- Vote Hosts and co-hosts can vote on hooks to rank them by relevance. Vote counts are visible on each hook.
- Clear Selected Remove the active hook from the screen without deleting it.
Playback Modes
Autoplay Mode (Default)
When autoplay is enabled, hooks cycle automatically:
- Click Play to start.
- Each hook displays for the configured duration (default: 10 seconds).
- A countdown timer shows the remaining time before the next hook.
- Hooks cycle through the full list continuously.
- Click Pause to stop cycling at the current hook.
Manual Mode
When autoplay is disabled:
- Use Next and Previous buttons to navigate between hooks.
- Each hook stays on screen until you manually advance.
Display Settings
Click the Settings icon (gear) to configure how hooks appear on screen:
- Show on Screen Toggle whether the selected hook is displayed on the broadcast video.
- Font Choose from available fonts (Druk Text Bold, Arial, Verdana, Helvetica).
- Color Pick a text color for the on-screen hook display.
- Time per Hook Duration in seconds before auto-advancing to the next hook (autoplay mode).
When "Show on Screen" is enabled, the selected hook text is rendered as an overlay on the broadcast video output, visible to all viewers.
Round-Robin Mode
For multi-host broadcasts, round-robin mode distributes hooks across co-hosts sequentially. Each co-host receives a different hook, ensuring balanced participation and varied discussion points.
Using AI Producer in Recordings
The AI Producer is also available during multi-host recordings. The functionality is the same: generate or add hooks, select them for display, and navigate between them. In recordings, the selected hook is stored with the recording data for reference during post-production.
Technical Notes
- Hooks are stored per stream or per recording and persist across page reloads.
- AI generation uses web search to incorporate current events, names, and statistics into questions.
- Generated questions are designed to be open-ended (no yes/no answers) and under 12 words each.
- All hooks support voting, which helps hosts prioritize the most relevant discussion points.
- Hook state changes (selection, playback) are synchronized across co-hosts via HotMic real-time messaging platform in real time.
