Review Process

Once a recording is complete, the page transitions into a review view designed to support the next stage of the production workflow. Playback of the composed video is available, but the primary purpose of this view is to evaluate the take and route it into the appropriate next stage.

Custom-Designed Review Workflows

HotMic does not impose a fixed set of next-step paths on a recording. Instead, each customer can custom-design the review and approval workflow that reflects their own organizational processes — including who reviews content, what conditions trigger different paths, how feedback is captured, and where approved content ultimately lands.

A recording can be routed to the Video Editor, submitted directly into the publishing pipeline, sent for additional review in Clip Manager, or pushed to any downstream system the customer integrates with — entirely based on the workflow the organization has configured.

See Workflows for how customer-specific review and approval processes are built and managed.

Reviewing the Take

To support the decision, the page provides everything needed to evaluate the recording:

  • Composed video playback with standard controls (play, pause, seek, volume, fullscreen).
  • A panel of other recordings on the right, allowing hosts to jump between takes and compare.
  • Access to individual participant tracks via View Raw Tracks (see Raw Tracks & Processing).

If the upload is still in progress when the page loads, the player starts as soon as the composed video is ready.

Other Actions

  • Download Download the composed video file directly.
  • View Raw Tracks Open the Raw Tracks modal to see individual participant recordings.
  • Delete Permanently delete the recording (with confirmation).
