Co-Hosts

Bring additional hosts into your broadcast with their own camera and microphone. Co-hosts appear in the composition alongside you and can share broadcast controls.

Co-hosts are additional hosts who join your broadcast with their own camera and microphone. They appear in the video composition alongside you and have access to broadcast controls.

Adding a Co-Host

  1. Open the Hosts tab in the Creator Studio left panel.
  2. Click Add Co-Host.
  3. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
  4. Optionally include a message that will be sent with the invitation.
  5. Click Send Invite.

The invited person receives an email with a link to join your broadcast. When they click the link, they are taken to the Creator Studio where they can connect their camera and microphone.

Co-Host Limits

You can invite up to 5 co-hosts for a total of 6 people on screen (1 host + 5 co-hosts). The video layout automatically adjusts to accommodate multiple participants.

Co-Host Capabilities

Once connected, co-hosts can:

  • Share their camera and microphone feed.
  • Use chat and moderation tools.
  • Control media playback (subject to media lock — only one host can control media at a time).
  • Interact with polls, hooks, and other broadcast features.
  • Switch between available video layouts.

The original host retains full control over the broadcast, including the ability to go live, end the stream, and remove co-hosts.

Video Layout with Co-Hosts

When multiple hosts are on a broadcast, the video composition arranges feeds according to the active layout:

  • Landscape — Hosts arranged side by side (16:9).
  • Portrait — Vertical layout for mobile-first viewing (9:16).
  • Circle — Circular crop on each host's video.
  • Background Removal — AI removes each host's background, allowing hosts to appear over custom images or media.

Hosts can be repositioned by dragging their video to different zones (top-left, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right, center, etc.). Layout changes are applied instantly.

Tips

  • Send co-host invitations before the broadcast starts so they have time to set up their camera and microphone.
  • Co-hosts need a supported browser (Google Chrome recommended) with camera and microphone permissions enabled.
  • If a co-host loses their connection, they can rejoin using the same invitation link.
