Guest call-in lets viewers request to appear live on your broadcast. When a guest joins, their camera and audio are added to the video composition alongside the host.
Enabling Guest Call-In
Before going live, enable guest call-in in the stream settings:
- Open your stream in the Creator Studio.
- In the stream setup menu, toggle Guest Call-In to on.
- Optionally set a maximum number of guests allowed on screen at the same time.
Once enabled, viewers using the HotMic app will see a Join button on the stream.
Managing Guest Requests
When a viewer requests to join:
- A notification appears in the Guests tab of the Creator Studio.
- You will see the viewer's name and profile in the request queue with a Waiting status.
- Click Invite to send them an invitation. Their status changes to Invited.
- The viewer receives a prompt to accept the invitation and grant camera/microphone permissions.
- Once they accept, they appear in the broadcast. Their status changes to Live.
You can also:
- Decline a request to remove it from the queue.
- Remove a live guest at any time, which disconnects them from the broadcast.
- Re-invite a previously removed guest.
What Guests See
