Scalability
HotMic's infrastructure is designed for high-scale events:
- Video delivery via CloudFront CDN handles effectively unlimited viewer scale.
- Chat tested up to 10,000 messages per minute without breaking.
- Polls tested up to 5,000 responses per minute.
- Stream joins up to approximately 2,000 concurrent joins per second.
- Load testing shows normal performance up to 480,000 concurrent users on a standard cluster.
Contact HotMic at least 2 weeks in advance if you expect more than 250,000 concurrent users across all streams, so infrastructure can be scaled appropriately.
